Almost heaven, West Virginia . . .
"I hear her voice
In the mornin' hour she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
And drivin' down the road I get a feelin'
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday"
Who could say it better than John Denver?

ReplyDeleteEnameled black and white photographs of the deceased were very common in French cemeteries from way before the 1950s to the 1990s (afterwards, I do not know), civilian and military medals were also represented, sometimes in actual colors, up to now. The representation of vehicles, places, daily life objects was confined to the ex votos deposited in the Catholic churches to acknowledge a divine favor.
